The required documents to apply for a grant from the Walid Joumblatt Foundation for University Studies
For new students:1- A passport-size photograph
2- New Personal Civil Registry Extract, or its certified copy, or an Identity Card copy.
3- New Family Civil Registry Extract.
4- A certified copy of the Official Secondary School Certificate, or its equivalent.
5- A transcript of academic record showing all previous years/semesters grades at university.
6- Payment receipt of the current year’s tuition, or a statement of registration from the university.
7- Medical report in case there is a permanent patient in the family.

Note:Any application that does not meet the Foundations’ requirements shall be rejected.
The Foundation accepts applications from students in their second academic year or above.

Criteria for Application
The Walid Joumblatt Foundation for University Studies, based on its keenness of maintaining high academic standards among its graduates, announces to all its returning and new students that the following evaluation criteria will be strictly applied in accepting students’ applications at the Foundation.
First: Students eligible for applying at the Foundation are those registered full-time in the following universities and maintain a minimum cumulative average as detailed below.
AUB - LAU - NDU - BAU - IUL - RHU - Balamand Haigazian - Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK)
Cumulative Average: 76%
Lebanese University (LU) - CNAM
Cumulative Average: 11/20
Antonine - La Sagesse - USJ
Cumulative Average: 12/20
And their equivalent in other universities.
Note: The Foundation will announce later the majors of study at the private universities that are eligible for application by students
Second: The Foundation could help students at the following universities according to separate memorandums of understanding with each:
LCU - AOU - AUST - MUBS - LIU - AUCE - AUL
Third: The Foundation will announce later the majors of study at the private universities that are eligible for application by students
Fulfilling the above requirements is the only way to be eligible for applying for the Foundation’s financial aid, as they they will be strictly applied.
The Foundation will not accept any application after the set deadline. In the hope that the above measures will serve as an incentive for further academic achievements and determined effort towards realizing a bright future.
